To book in your mare for reproductive services, or to book a place on one of our courses, please fill in the appropriate form and return it to us via email or post.

Mare booking forms should be brought with your horse to be handed into the stud office on arrival, if they have not been sent to us in advance, along with the passport for that horse. Recipient request forms should be completed and emailed to office@twemlows.co.uk for all mare owners looking to use our walk in or transported embryo service.

If you would like to send your mare for Artificial Insemination only or Artificial Insemination and Embryo Transfer, please use the mare AI & ET only booking form.

Mare Foaling Booking Form

If you would like to send your mare for Foaling only or Foaling and then going back in foal, please use the mare foaling booking form.

Recipient Request Form (Walk-In Flush / Transported Embryo Service)

If you would like to send your mare for a walk in flush or to use our transported embryo service and recipient mares, please use the recipient request form.

Transported Embryo Service Vet Embryo Slip

If you are a vet planning to use our Transported Embryo Service, please complete the embryo slip and send it to Twemlows with the flushed embryo.

Permission to Transfer Frozen Embryos Form

If you would like us to transfer frozen embryos in to recipient mares, please complete the permission to transfer frozen embryos form.

Course Registration Forms

Artificial Insemination Technicians Training​

The one-day course focuses on the AI process and is designed for stud owners and managers, breeders and veterinarians interested in artificial insemination. Delegates are assessed throughout the day, including a practical and short written exam.

Stallion Collection Training

A one-day course designed for stallion owners, managers of studs or breeders and veterinarians with an interest in artificial insemination.

This course gives a greater insight to semen collection and analysis, and is run by Stallion AI Services.

Foaling the Mare​

A one-day course designed to give background knowledge and understanding of foaling the mare.

Foal and Yearling Management

A one-day course designed to give an understanding of foal & yearling care.

The day consists of lectures on a variety of topics and ends with practical examination of both foal and yearling.

Dystocia in the Mare & Foal Resuscitation

This course is designed for experienced breeders who have good knowledge of normal foalings. It is a hands-on one-day practical course on the complexities of mare dystocia and basic training in foal resuscitation, led by experts in the field and stud management. There will be use of cadaver materials in the practical sessions.

Veterinary Equine Reproductive Ultrasonography Scanning

A one-day course designed for veterinarians and new graduates wishing to gain experience in scanning mares for breeding purposes. Delegates should bring their own overalls, and if possible their own scanners, and will be encouraged to discuss case studies of their own with our resident veterinarian, Monica Morganti Dr, Med. Vets DiplACT, MRCVS and Rebecca Keating Med. Vet. MRCVS
