Boarding and Livery
Our livery services are open to both broodmares and youngstock, and all horses that stay at Twemlows receive excellent care within great facilities. We have ample turnout, grazing and housing for horses to thrive.
Broodmares
We offer great flexibility regarding the length of your mare’s stay with us. She is welcome to board year-round, remain with us solely for foaling, stay for weaning, or return home over winter and come back the following spring for foaling and/or re-insemination – whatever suits your requirements best. For empty mares, we can provide lighting from December onwards to help bring them into season earlier, enabling your mare to begin cycling from February.
Youngstock
Foals at foot can return home with their dams to wean at home, or they can stay with us for weaning. We are happy to keep youngstock for as long as required, up until they are 3 years old.
Throughout the summer months all horses are turned out in groups. They are checked twice daily and receive regular vaccination, worming and farriery.
In winter all horses are brought into our large barns and housed in groups. Adlib haylage is provided.
